DraftKings review

7.9out of 10

For parlay, same-game parlay and 2-team teaser bettors who want a deep menu and fast stated debit-card payouts. Price-sensitive and winning bettors should compare prices elsewhere first.

DraftKings is a Nasdaq-listed, state-licensed sportsbook live with mobile betting in 27 states, Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico, by its own Q2 2026 count.[4][1]

One review site reports standard −110 main lines, and DraftKings says its parlay mix drives its hold. It states debit-card withdrawals in up to 24 hours, and its 2-team NFL teaser was reported at −120 (2025 reports), tied-best among major US books in one comparison.[75][77][18][79]

Its CEO has said on record that it limits sharp bettors, and it has paid fines in Massachusetts, Ohio, New Jersey and Connecticut.[83][11][13][16]

Best for

  • Parlay and same-game parlay bettors who want alternate lines, SGPx and cash out in one app.[24][28][30]
  • 2-team NFL teaser bettors: reported at −120 in 2025, and DraftKings says a push with no loss refunds the stake.[79][80][26]
  • Bettors who want fast stated withdrawals: debit card up to 24 hours, PayPal and Venmo up to 2 days.[18]

Skip it if

  • You bet straight sides and totals and care about price: −110 standard costs $4.55 per $100 at a coin flip (example prices).[75][calc]
  • You win consistently or bet arbitrage: the CEO says the book limits sharps, and Massachusetts notices cite arbitrage as a reason.[83][46]
  • You bet in Illinois and mind a $0.50 charge on every online bet (in force from 2025-09-01).[66][67]

How vigged scores it

7.9/10
  • Pricing 25%7.0

Standard −110 on main lines per one review site, with hold driven by parlays (structural hold 11.2% in Q4 2024). The −120 2-team teaser reported in 2025 is a bright spot, not enough to lift it off the 7 (typical) anchor.[75][77][79][calc]

  • Markets 15%9.0

Every major US sport plus golf, combat sports, motorsports and esports, with live betting, player props, alternate lines, SGPx and cash out. One review notes slight live latency.[24][28][30]

  • Limits 15%6.0

Typical US retail limiting, documented and stated by the CEO, scored below the 7 anchor because pro bettors name it among the harshest limiters and it sought to void $934,137 of winning parlays after its own pricing error (denied in Massachusetts and New Jersey, allowed in Pennsylvania).[83][49][47][48]

  • Payouts 15%8.5

States debit cards in up to 24 hours and e-wallets in up to 2 days, with no fees found. Checks are slow, and 2022 BBB data showed many complaints about delays across large US books.[18][19][23]

  • App & site 10%9.0

iOS 4.8 from a large rating count (snapshots about 960,000 to 1.3M); Android snapshots range 4.4 to 4.78. A nationwide outage in October 2024 and the AWS outage in October 2025 keep it off the top.[24][56][59][55][30][61][63]

  • Promos 5%8.0

Bonus bets carry a 1x playthrough, but the stake is not returned and they expire. The October 2026 offer could only be read on affiliate sites, which disagree.[36][38][39]

  • Safety & licensing 15%9.0

Licensed by US state regulators, a public company, and a full set of limit, cool-off and self-exclusion tools. A string of state fines since 2022 (Massachusetts, Ohio, New Jersey, Connecticut) and two credential-stuffing incidents make the record mixed, so it sits between the 8.5 and 10 anchors.[3][1][52][11][13][14][16][71]

Weighted mean of seven scores, each 0–10 against the same published anchors for every book. Tap a row for the reason. How the rubric works.

Pricing: standard juice, expensive parlays

One review site reports standard −110 on NFL and NBA spreads and totals, with −105 on some featured markets. DraftKings publishes no juice schedule, and the one DraftKings-linked reduced-juice offer found ended 2026-08-23.[75][76]

Example prices At −110 on both sides the overround is 4.76%. You need to win 52.38% to break even, and a $100 bet at a coin flip costs $4.55 on average, or $2,272.73 over 500 bets. Taking −110 where another book offers −105 pays $90.91 instead of $95.24 on a win: $2.16 a bet, $1,082.25 over 500.[calc]

Parlays drive the margin. DraftKings reported a structural hold of 11.2% in Q4 2024 as its NFL parlay mix rose, and its CEO said NFL and NBA are the best leagues for structural hold "because of the heavy SGP and parlay mix".[77][78]

Example prices Three −110 legs pay +595.79 against +700 at the no-vig price. With each leg a true 50%, that costs $13.03 per $100. Same-game parlays are priced for correlation, so this table does not apply to them and no SGP margin is published.[calc]

Teasers are the better corner. The 6-point 2-team NFL teaser was reported at −120, tied-best among major US books (Action Network, undated; CBS Sports, Week 1 of 2025); the 2026 price is unconfirmed. Example prices: at −120 each leg must win 73.85%. In vigged's spread model only legs that cross both 3 and 7 get close: +1.5 teased to +7.5 wins 74.15%, −7.5 to −1.5 wins 73.66%. A −3 teased to +3 does not (68.05% excluding pushes). This is a model estimate, not a backtest.[79][80][85][calc]

Illinois bettors pay more: DraftKings added $0.50 to every online bet from 2025-09-01, passing on the state's per-bet tax. On 500 bets that is $250. Whether it still applies in October 2026 was not confirmed.[66][67]

Example prices What the price costs over 500 bets

DraftKings's typical price (−110)

  • −110$2,273
  • −108$1,852
  • −105$1,190
  • −104$962

Expected cost of 500 bets of $100, each a true 50/50, at each price on both sides (vigged's calculator). DraftKings: −110, reported standard on sides and totals.[75][calc]

Markets: deep, built around parlays

The app covers the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, soccer, PGA Tour golf, UFC and MMA, boxing, motorsports, esports and college sports, with live betting, player props and same-game parlays.[24]

Reviewers note SGPx (same-game parlays across games), alternate lines on most markets and a live "Flash Bet" feature. One review notes slight live latency against bet365.[30]

Teasers are football and basketball only, at 6, 6.5 or 7 points. A push with no loss on a 2-team teaser is no action and refunds the stake; on Super or Monster teasers a push loses the bet. Alt lines and bonus bets cannot be used on teasers.[26][27]

Cash Out is offered on pre-game, live, futures and parlay bets on select sports, and DraftKings says availability varies. Same-game parlay cash out was announced in 2024; that it launched was not confirmed.[28][29]

DraftKings Predictions sits in the same app and runs separately from the sportsbook. It is not a sportsbook: you trade event contracts on CFTC-regulated exchanges (DraftKings bought the CFTC-licensed Railbird exchange and launched with CME Group). Sports contracts are offered only in states without legal sports betting, such as California, Texas and Georgia. No fee schedule for Predictions was found.[24][31][32][33]

Limits: it limits winners, and says so

CEO Jason Robins said in 2022 that DraftKings was "trying to get smart at eliminating sharp action or at least limiting it". In September 2025 he said: "We are able to place limits on sharps and other people, and that is the only reason we're able to offer the variety of bets…"[81][82][83]

DraftKings estimated that less than 1% of its bettors are restricted, according to a WSJ report cited by Massachusetts staff. Across all operators, 0.64% of Massachusetts accounts were limited from December 2024 to September 2025.[43][44]

In Massachusetts, since 2026-06-01, a limited bettor must be told within 48 hours, with a specific reason and the markets affected. Reasons seen so far include suspected coordinated wagering, arbitrage and exploiting live-market latency; one DraftKings letter was criticized as uninformative.[45][46]

House rules let DraftKings limit stakes so one account's net payout on a bet or combination does not exceed $500,000. Massachusetts requires that cap to work by limiting the stake, never by cutting a winning payout. No per-sport maximum bets are published.[42]

In December 2025 the Massachusetts commission voted 5-0 to deny DraftKings' request to void $934,137 of winning parlays on MLB hit markets, after a trading-tool error let correlated legs through. New Jersey also refused; Pennsylvania allowed a void under its house rules.[47][48]

Payouts: fast on paper, slow by check

DraftKings states withdrawal times in business days: debit card up to 24 hours; PayPal, Venmo, Cash App Pay and wire up to 2 days; checks over $100 up to 5 business days, under $100 up to 14.[18][19]

The clock starts at the second email, the one confirming the withdrawal was processed. DraftKings says individual withdrawals "may exceed standard times", and it cannot speed up checks.[18][19]

Deposits: debit cards, Apple Pay, online banking, PayPal, wire ($100 minimum), cash at a casino cage or retail location, and gift cards. The method must be in your name, and business accounts are not allowed.[17]

A review site reports that withdrawals go back to the deposit method first, up to what was deposited in the last 90 days. Third-party figures for withdrawal minimums and maximums conflict, so check the cashier before a large withdrawal.[21][22]

No deposit or withdrawal fee was found. A 2022 WSJ analysis of BBB records counted about 2,400 complaints across DraftKings, FanDuel and BetMGM over three years, many about slow withdrawals; DraftKings said holds can follow signs of fraud or money laundering.[17][23]

App: highly rated, with outages on record

The iOS app, "DraftKings: Sports & Casino", showed 4.8 from about 1.3M ratings; review sites in 2026 give 4.8 from more than 960,000. Android snapshots disagree: 4.78 from 267.4K reviews (Bitrise, July 2026), 4.7, 4.5 and 4.4 on review sites.[24][25][56][59][55][57][30]

One app holds the sportsbook, casino, DraftKings Racing and Predictions, and DraftKings says its own exchange, DKeX, is integrated into it (June 2026).[24][35]

On 2024-10-10 odds disappeared in every DraftKings state from about 2 a.m. ET until 2:13 p.m. ET. The AWS outage on 2025-10-20 disrupted DraftKings, and some withdrawals were slow afterwards. Around North Carolina's launch in March 2024 (year per search summary), some users saw $0 balances; Action Network reports it largely cleared in about 30 minutes.[61][62][63][64]

Third-party summaries of DraftKings' Google Play reviews mention connectivity problems, crashes, live-betting issues, account limits and slow support; Trustpilot reviewers mention unhelpful support and trouble accessing funds. These are unverified summaries, not counts.[58][60]

If the app is stuck on "Verifying location", turn on location services, turn off any VPN, and on desktop install the GeoComply plugin.[65]

Promos: bonus bets, read the terms

Bonus bets cannot be withdrawn, carry a 1x playthrough and do not return the stake: only winnings reach your cash balance. One per bet slip, none on teasers, and each expires on the date in Rewards.[36]

Example prices Because the stake does not come back, a $25 bonus bet on a −110 coin flip is worth about $11.36, and on a +300 price with a true 25% chance about $18.75. In these examples the longer price keeps more of the bonus bet's face value.[calc]

The offer that ended in February 2026 paid $300 as twelve $25 bonus bets after a winning cash bet; an unused expired token ended new-customer eligibility. For October 2026, affiliate sites disagree ($150 in $50 weekly batches vs $100 with a −500 minimum), so read DraftKings' own promotions page.[37][38][39]

A 2023 Massachusetts suit says a "$1,000" offer needed a $5,000 deposit and $25,000 in wagers within 90 days for the full amount. The court denied DraftKings' motion to dismiss in October 2024; the outcome is unknown.[40][41]

Safety and licensing

DraftKings Inc. is listed on Nasdaq as DKNG and licensed by the regulator in each state it serves. It withdrew its Nevada applications in November 2025 and has never operated there.[1][4][9][10]

Fines on record: Massachusetts $450,000 (2025) for 1,160 wagers funded by credit cards; Ohio $425,000 (2024) for unapproved college props and credit-card deposits; New Jersey $150,000 (2022, proxy betting), $100,000 (2024, inaccurate data), $32,500 (2025) and $7,500 (2026); Connecticut $19,000 (2024, a casino slot).[11][12][13][15][14][3][16]

Credential-stuffing attacks hit customer accounts in November 2022 (67,995 people, about $300,000 taken, which DraftKings said it would make whole) and September 2025. Use a unique password.[71][72]

Tools: deposit, wager and time limits by day, week or month, cool-offs from 3 days to 4 weeks, and self-exclusion for 1 or 5 years across all DraftKings products. Tighter limits apply at once; loosening one waits. vigged.com is for readers 21+; help: 1-800-GAMBLER.[52][53][54]

Support runs through a help-center chatbot, with callbacks for US sportsbook customers and a voicemail line that is not answered live.[50][51]

How it compares

On the 6-point 2-team NFL teaser, DraftKings and FanDuel were reported at −120, Caesars and Hard Rock at −125, and BetRivers, ESPN BET and Fanatics worse than −130. The same source also lists FanDuel at −134, so check before you bet.[79]

On main lines, one review site says bet365 and Pinnacle are marginally better. Same bet, better number: compare the price across books before you bet.[75]

Example prices A Kalshi taker fee on a 50¢ contract works out to about −107.25 a side, against DraftKings' −110, before the bid/ask spread. Kalshi is not a sportsbook: it is a CFTC-regulated exchange where you trade contracts against other traders.[84][calc]

The betting splits on vigged come from DraftKings Network, which publishes each side's share of bets and of handle and says its MLB splits update about every 2 minutes. VSiN calls DraftKings perhaps the most "public" book in America.[73][74]

Pros

  • Debit-card withdrawals stated at up to 24 hours, PayPal and Venmo up to 2 days; no deposit or withdrawal fee found.[18][17]
  • 2-team NFL teaser reported at −120 in 2025, with a push on a 2-team teaser refunding the stake.[79][26]
  • Deep menu: alternate lines, SGPx, live betting and cash out.[30][28]
  • Licensed by US state regulators and publicly listed, with full responsible-gambling tools.[3][1][52]
  • iOS rating of 4.8; snapshots put the count between about 960,000 and 1.3M ratings.[24][56][59]

Cons

  • Standard −110 main lines: $4.55 per $100 at a coin flip (example prices).[75][calc]
  • Limits sharp bettors, by its CEO's own account.[83]
  • Parlay margins compound: three −110 legs cost $13.03 per $100 (example prices).[calc]
  • A string of state fines, including $450,000 in Massachusetts in 2025.[11][14]
  • $0.50 per online bet in Illinois (from 2025-09-01).[66]
  • Outages on record, including a nationwide one on 2024-10-10.[61]

DraftKings vs other books

  • vs FanDuel 8.3/10

Both reported at −120 on the 2-team NFL teaser (one source lists FanDuel at −134). FanDuel paused its Illinois per-bet fee through 2026-06-19; no matching DraftKings pause was found.[79][68]

  • vs Caesars Sportsbook 7.9/10

DraftKings was reported at −120 on the 6-point 2-team NFL teaser, Caesars at −125.[79]

  • vs Kalshi 8.1/10

Example prices Kalshi's taker fee at 50¢ is about −107.25 a side before the spread, against DraftKings' −110. Kalshi is a CFTC-regulated exchange: you trade contracts against other traders.[84][calc]

DraftKings: common questions

Is DraftKings legit?

Yes. DraftKings Inc. is listed on Nasdaq (DKNG) and licensed by the regulator in each state it serves. It has also been fined by regulators in Massachusetts, Ohio, New Jersey and Connecticut.

Is DraftKings legal in my state?

DraftKings says it offers mobile sports betting in 27 states, Washington, D.C. and Puerto Rico (Q2 2026). Third-party state lists disagree on a few states, so check your state regulator's list of licensed operators. It does not operate in Nevada.

How long do DraftKings withdrawals take?

DraftKings states up to 24 hours for debit cards, up to 2 days for PayPal, Venmo, Cash App Pay and wire, and 5 to 14 business days for checks. The clock starts when the processed email arrives, and individual withdrawals can take longer.

Does DraftKings limit winners?

Yes. Its CEO has said it places limits on sharp bettors, and Massachusetts limit notices have cited arbitrage and exploiting live-market latency. In Massachusetts it must tell a limited bettor within 48 hours, with a reason and the markets affected.

Is the DraftKings app good?

It is highly rated: 4.8 on iOS from a large rating count, and between 4.4 and 4.78 on Android depending on the snapshot. Third-party summaries of user reviews mention crashes, connectivity and live-betting problems, and there was a nationwide outage on 2024-10-10.

Does DraftKings charge fees?

No deposit or withdrawal fee was found. In Illinois DraftKings added $0.50 to every online bet from 2025-09-01; whether it still applies was not confirmed. A planned surcharge on winning bets was dropped in August 2024.

What happens if a DraftKings teaser leg pushes?

On a regular 2-team teaser a push with no loss is no action and the stake is refunded. With 3 or more teams the bet drops to the next lower level. On Super and Monster teasers a push loses.

Is DraftKings Predictions the same as the sportsbook?

No. Predictions runs separately in the same app and is not a sportsbook: you trade event contracts on CFTC-regulated exchanges. Several 2026 lawsuits allege it is an illegal sportsbook in states where DraftKings has no sports-betting license; these are allegations only, and DraftKings says it operates under the Commodity Exchange Act.
