How the fee changes the price

A prediction-market contract pays $1 if it wins. Buying one at the ask costs its price plus a taker fee of rate × price × (1 − price) per contract, so the fee is largest near 50¢ and small near the ends. vigged works out what $100 buys with the fee included and shows that as odds in your format; the tooltip keeps the raw price, e.g. “52¢ + fee → −116”.

Reading the table

  • Books is the best US sportsbook price on the side: the odds board's BEST, leaving out Kalshi as a book so this table can compare it.
  • Kalshi, Poly US, Poly are after fees at the ask. A dimmed price is stale, on a different number than the books, or a Kalshi ask with less than $2,000 available at it, and is not compared.
  • Gap (vs books) is the difference in cents per $1 of payout: +4¢ means the prediction market costs 4¢ less for the same $1, after fees.
  • Depth is the money resting at the top of the order book; a big bet can move the price.

Frequently asked questions

How do you turn a Kalshi or Polymarket La Liga price into American odds?

A contract pays $1 if it wins, so its price is the probability: 52¢ is 52%. Add the trading fee to the price first, then convert: 52¢ on Kalshi costs about 53.7¢ with the fee, which is −116 rather than the −108 of 52¢ flat.

What fees do Kalshi and Polymarket charge?

All three charge takers a fee of rate × contracts × price × (1 − price): Kalshi 0.07 (rounded up to the cent, per order), Polymarket US 0.0695, Polymarket sports 0.05. The fee peaks at 50¢: on 100 contracts it is $1.75 on Kalshi, $1.74 on Polymarket US and $1.25 on Polymarket.

Is the price shown the ask?

The after-fee odds use the ask, the price you pay to buy now. Where a price is a midpoint the tooltip says so, and buying will usually cost a little more.

Do prediction-market prices count for the best price and +EV on vigged?

Kalshi does where it is ranked as a book (on by default, after fees, with $2,000 available at the price); Polymarket and Polymarket US do not. All three sit next to the books after fees here and on game pages, with a note when one pays more than the best ranked price; a setting can label that as the best price including prediction markets.

Can I trade Kalshi or Polymarket in my state?

It depends on the venue and the state: Kalshi and Polymarket US are federally regulated exchanges, several states dispute sports event contracts, and Polymarket’s international exchange blocks US trading. Set your state on vigged to see availability, and check each venue’s rules.
